A platform

everyone.

Florida Orthopedic Hospital is a healthcare management platform used by receptionists, doctors, nurses, administrators, and finance teams to manage patient care, appointments, treatment records, billing, and hospital operations.

The project focused on modernizing a legacy system that had become difficult to navigate after years of incremental updates, while introducing new workflows to support evolving operational needs.

The primary stakeholder with deep knowledge of the system passed away shortly after kickoff — leaving much of the platform completely undocumented. Reconstructing the system became as critical as redesigning it.

With limited documentation available, the first priority was understanding how the system actually worked. I conducted stakeholder interviews, analyzed existing workflows, reviewed competitor products, and performed a complete audit of the platform.

To establish clarity, I mapped every major workflow and dependency across departments. This documentation became the foundation for design decisions and development planning throughout the project.
