Dynamic UI Framework
Building a reusable foundation for faster enterprise application development.
Enterprise applications often require months of initial setup before teams can start building product-specific features. Across projects, many of the same structures repeatedly had to be designed and developed—from administration and user management to dashboards, tables, charts, controls, and common interface patterns.
The project focused on creating a reusable UI framework that could provide these foundations upfront while remaining flexible enough to adapt to different enterprise requirements.
The Problem
Enterprise projects were spending significant time rebuilding common application structures from scratch.
Core areas such as administration, user management, client management, dashboards, tables, charts, and interface components appeared across multiple products, but each project required similar setup work before development could move into product-specific functionality.
The challenge was to create a common foundation without making the resulting products feel like identical applications.
My Role
I worked across the product experience from structure to interface, with individual ownership of the dashboard, user management, and administration flows.
I also worked with a team of three on defining and creating reusable UI components that could support different enterprise applications and requirements.
Core Responsibilities
The Approach
We first identified the patterns that repeatedly appeared across enterprise applications and separated them into reusable building blocks.
This included common application structures, user and administration flows, navigation patterns, data-heavy interfaces, and frequently used UI components.
The goal was to establish a flexible foundation rather than a fixed product—allowing teams to start with proven patterns and customize them around each client’s needs.
Solution
Created a reusable UI framework covering:
- Admin & system controls
- User management
- Client management
- Dashboard structures
- Tables & data views
- Charts & data visualization
- Forms & controls
- Navigation patterns
- Reusable UI components
- Customizable design patterns
The framework provided a consistent starting point while allowing components and layouts to be adapted for different enterprise products.
Outcome
Reduced the initial product setup phase from 12 weeks to 3 weeks.
The reusable framework gave project teams a ready-made foundation for common application requirements, allowing more time to be spent on product-specific problems instead of repeatedly rebuilding standard functionality.
